Bishop Arts District: Neighborfood presented by Dishcrawl – June 29

If you love food as much as we do, then you’ll appreciate the Neighborfood Event coming up at the end of the month in the Dallas Bishop Arts District. Saturday, June 29th, marks the day in which eight Bishop Arts restaurants will partner up with Dishcrawl to help benefit local charities by giving foodies exactly what they want: access to MORE delicious food. Attendees can purchase an entry ticket that includes food at a participating restaurant and drink specials. More than one ticket can be purchased of course!

Proceeds from Neighborfood 2013 will go towards the North Texas Food Bank, United Way of Tarrant County, The Family Place, Color Me Empowered, the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, American Red Cross North TX Region, Operation Finally Home and the Cancer Support Community of North Texas. That’s a LOT of charities!

    Admission for children is Free, but they will need a ticket for eating. One ticket might be able to take care of two kids when it comes to the food sharing.

    Movies Under the Moon 2013 | Shops at Park Lane Dallas

    I ain’t even gonna front. I ain’t even gonna lie. Since you walked up in the park. You’ve been gazin’ at the sky…
    This could very well be the start of something special….Movies Under the Moon.

    So whether you pay attention to the full moon outside or not, you’ll know that a Free outdoor movie will accompany it above the Shops at Park Lane in Dallas off Highway 75. Each Friday night Movies Under the Moon features favorite family-friendly films from the past decades. A 7-Eleven Slurpee-branded food truck will be parked the first Friday night giving away free slurpees and other cool giveaways to promote the release of the Escape from Planet Earth movie.

    Gordon Biersche will be selling food, soft drinks and other beverages while popcorn will be for sale for $1/bag.

    June 2013: FREE Outdoor Movies at Sundance Square – Stars Under the Stars

    Stars Under the Stars at Sundance Square is back this summer! Every Thursday night in June, a movie will be showing on the Sundance Square Gateway in Fort Worth. Enjoy a flick on the big screen under the stars, hence the name of this FREE event – Stars Under the Stars. Outdoor movies are great for the entire family, especially when you don’t have to pay any admission. Movies begin at dusk (8:30pm-ish) and chair rentals are available for $2.00.

    Movie watchers for Sundance’s Stars Under the Stars Free Outdoor Movie series can start setting up about 8pm. However, no drinks, pets or outside food are allowed. Stars Under the Stars will occur 4 Thursday nights in a row 8:00pm – 10:00pm. Gateway Parking Lot is located on Houston Street between 4th and 5th Street. Whether it’s Date Night, your night to babysit the nieces and nephews or just a good time to try something different, come to Sundance Square and be star-struck with some favorite flicks (for FREE) in downtown Funky Town.

    Safari Nights at The Dallas Zoo | FREE Summer Concert Series Under the Stars

    It doesn’t take a plane ride to Africa or Madagascar RedBox rental to experience Safari Nights. They can be found right off I-35 in Dallas every Saturday night this summer!

    Join The Dallas Zoo as they extend park hours for zoobilee of tunes and after hour fun! The Safari Nights Concert Series are presented by Texas Instruments giving DFW families the opportunity to enjoy great live music on the weekends for 8 consecutive Saturdays. Once sun sets and night falls bring out the blankets and lawn chairs for performances under the stars by tribute bands, local songwriters and artists right at the shady Cat Green. Attendees can also enjoy visits from the Stars from the Zoo’s Animal Adventures outreach program.

    Safari Nights Concerts are FREE with zoo admission. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

    To avoid parking fees and traffic feel free to travel to the Dallas Zoo by DART. However, please be cautious and travel in groups if you plan on attending the Safari Nights Concert Series, especially when leaving after dark.
