Dallas Natural’s Night Out – Sept 29th

First there was Fashion’s Night Out sweeping the metroplex with trendy looks, runways in the middle of shopping malls and high end Dallas fashion being showcased throughout the town. Now we have Dallas Natural’s Night Out which shakes the DFW hair scene with stylish locs, colorful twists and curly mane. Natural’s Night Out presents both men and women of all shades the opportunity to reinvent their love for natural hair. If you also share a passion for natural hair and exhibiting your own individuality then join hundreds of others on Saturday, September 29th at Hibashi Sushi Bar & Lounge from 10:00pm to 2:00am. Join Expressive Textures for this unique Dallas event taking place at Hibashi Sushi Bar of Dallas. It may be a late function, but you’ll get to mingle with other Dallas naturals and share styles, fashion and do some networking. Plus the musical performances by a live Neo-Soul Jazz band help set the mood for the night.

The first 200 ticket buyers will receive: Swag bags with amazing samples and are entered into a drawing for a product giveaway. Attendees are also given the opportunity to win door prizes. 2nd Annual Naturally Isis Natural Hair Parade and Festival

Last year over 1,500 North Texas natural hair fans came out and participated in the 1st Annual Naturally Isis Natural Hair Parade and Festival with hometown celebrity guest Erykah Badu. This year the festival is bound to be even bigger and better on Labor Day Weekend with live entertainment, lock twisting and braiding workshops, featured speakers, poets, tons of vendor, kids activities and free admission. On September 1st the 2nd Annual Naturally Isis Natural Hair Parade will start out at 10:30am from Wynnewood Shopping Center and into Beckley-Saner Park. At noon the festival will commence lasting until 7:00pm at Beckley Saner Park.

The goal for this year’s Parade and Festival is to award single parent homes scholarships to attend The Institute of Ancestral Braiding, a school that equips students with the skills necessary for hair braiding, in order to provide better for their families.
