ZEST FEST 2012

Are you into spicy flavorful foods? Would you like to give your tastebuds a surprise for the new year? I’m assuming that if you just wiped (or licked) off your fingers from eating Flamin’ Hot Cheetohs, Wing Stop’s Atomic wings, Ruffles Molten Hot wings chips, jalapeno poppers or McD’s new Spicy Bites your answer is “yes”. This January there will be an entire weekend dedicated to zesty foods at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. Food lovers – particularly spicy food lovers- clear your calendar between January 27th and January 29th for Zest Fest 2012. The ultimate foodie “test of zest” event is $15 to get in while kids 10 and under are free. Tickets will be available for sale at the Convention Center Box office.

With firemen on standby, enjoy a plethora of zesty products to blaze your tongue and clear all your sinuses. Along with good food there will be a wide range of entertainment. Celebrity chefs are coming to show you exactly how it’s done from the main stage. They will accept questions and provide tips during their cooking demonstrations. Two of the finest chefs returning to Zest Fest this year include Jon Bonnell (Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisin; Buffalo Brothers) and Lou Lambert (Lambert’s and Dutch’s Hamburgers).

Spicy exhibitors from all over will gather to blow your socks off with their zesty products, mouth-watering meals, hot concoctions and recipes. You can enjoy TONS of sizzling samples as well as interactive contests. The annual Fire Foods Challenge will also light up the stage this year at Zest Fest 2012. Zest Fest is now going 10 years strong and no stranger to the DFW area. Luckily they’ll be opening doors one day early because of Zest Fest’s growing popularity.
